MISSION STATEMENT

The purpose of Chi Rho Omicron shall be to promote the understanding, enrichment and appreciation of the Pilipino culture, history and heritage through a brotherhood/family environment; to instill the desire for self-improvement, scholastic excellence and the cultivation for civic responsibility.

Sacramento County History Day 2007

This past weekend on Saturday, March 10, 2007 was Sacramento County History Day. Students from different school districts around the county, from grades 4 through 12 competed in six different categories: Paper, Documentary, Performance, Exhibit, Website and Poster. These students deserve much credit in the time and effort they put into developing their entries revolving around this years theme: Triumph & Tragedy in History.

Brothers of Chi Rho Omicron, Inc. were asked to help in this competition by participating as judges. And on behalf of the brotherhood I would like to congratulate Miguel Francisco, Darren Yeung, Christopher Tang, Austin Metz and Justin Yee for their entry, 1828 - World War II: The Philippines. Presented to them was the Chi Rho Omicron, Inc. Philippine Diaspora Award for their hard work and passion for the Philippine culture.

Congratulations to all participants for all your hard work, and thank you to the Sacramento County History Day Board for allowing us to help in this competition. Be sure to check out the gallery for pictures of the event.
